We have multiple options for your estate.

We can conduct a full-scale estate sale on the property where the items are located. We can also explore an off-site estate sale.

Another option we have is to buy your estate entirely and then sell it slowly through The Ark’s retail location.

  • Our name in the Midwest for selling second-hand goods is top-notch. Simply put, we’ll get more people to attend your sale than any other company can. We know how to advertise, and we know how to market.

  • Your first task is to schedule a walk through with our team. We ask that you schedule this once items are removed from the house that will NOT be for sale. When we determine if we will sell or buy your estate, we need to know what we are working with. If family has claims to items in the lot, they need to take those before we get started. Simply put, we can’t do a walk-through and agree to take on your estate, only to find out that some of the most valuable items have been removed.

    If we are having the sale on site, we need access to the house and any other buildings that you’re wanting us to work with. Our crew often works late into the evening.

    We also need the location to have properly to have utilities still turned ON throughout our time working there and into the sale. We need electricity, heat/air, running water to clean items, and a working restroom.

  • This is where the magic happens!

    With multiple electronic billboards out of town, a billboard in I-135, and a billboard on 56 highway, we’ve got the roadways covered.

    We have thousands of people enrolled in our newsletter service and people who can spread the news of these sales to. Our social media content gets 20,000+ engagement views per month.

    Our store gets 100,000 guests each year, and we are always putting items in bags to advertise what’s new and happening.

    Our website is professional and always updated.

    We list all sales on regional estate sale websites and on its social media.

    We distribute flyers around the area, specifically McPherson businesses.

    Finally, we use our our popular Customer Loyalty Program to encourage repeat traffic and text folks about what is new.

  • We charge an affordable retainer fee that varies based on the location of the sale (McPherson, McPherson County, Outside McPherson County).

    Seller agrees to pay The Ark forty (35) percent of the gross proceeds from sales, with a minimum charge of $1,400 ($ 4,000 gross proceeds x .35 = $2,000).

    Vehicles and boats are sold at 15%.

    The Ark will subtract its fees from the final check issued to the seller.
